Little progress
June 1st brought the long awaited 20 ft garage door from Home Depot. The first one was damaged when it arrived HD from the manufacturer in Auburn, so it was reordered causing another 2 month delay in delivery. Because of the problematic nature of the last two garage doors (this one and the 12 ft door for the shop which arrived at HD without the door panels themselves -- or HD misplaced them 😏, only the frame hardware and springs were delivered), HD chose to deliver the 20 footer with all the damaged pieces included (as they had no way to store it or do away with it, apparently) for no charge. The 12 ft door panels are due any day which we will pick up at the Omak store soon, I hope.
In the meantime, Bill and John went through a small portion of the stuff in Al's storage unit last Sunday. The 8x12 (or bigger) unit was full, front to back and nearly to the ceiling, of buckets, boxes and milk crates that had been filled helter-skelter with no sense of organization in a hurry, as it seems, to get packed and out of there (assuming this happened once the property was sold and possession by new owner was encroaching). Their task that day was to sort obvious garbage from what would need to be gone through later. They didn't get much farther than garbage identification when they both were mentally exhausted. Bill brought back several tool boxes, crates and other stuff-filled containers. Going through those has occupied this inactive building period the last couple of days. He'll return this weekend and continue sorting the unit contents with Will and John's help. Other than a good opportunity for them to be together and get a deeper glimpse into Al's life, the distraction and stress of tying up Al's estate issues has been an unsettling interruption for Bill.
Though the task is tedious, it's entertaining in a way to watch Bill go through the stuff and identify interesting bits of machinery and tools.

| Wrenches found interspersed in all containers and finally consolidated in the yellow tool box. |

| Another toolbox of sockets garnered from various containers like the wrenches. And a pile of miscellaneous (possible treasures?) in the background. |
